Report Tree Root Damage to Sidewalks Online 

Landscape and Street Division staff work jointly to solve problems regarding damages and displacements to pavement within Fullerton.

An independent inspection by the Landscape and Street Division will be completed  and a collaborative decision will be made if there are extensive repairs due to tree root damage. Each case will be evaluated to determine the best approach.

The Street Division will assess if grinding, patching, or replacement of the pavement is appropriate. If the Tree Division confirms the damages or displacement is due to a City-owned tree, staff will provide his/her recommendations on major repairs. Because the City of Fullerton takes great pride in its urban forest, all options to save the tree will be considered.

When a large area of pavement is in question, Public Works/Engineering may become involved.
