The Muckenthaler home was built by Walter and Adella Muckenthaler in 1924 atop a hill in Fullerton. The 18-room, 8.5-acres mansion was donated to the city in 1965 by Harold Muckenthaler, who wished to see his childhood home used as a cultural center for the public.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Muckenthaler Cultural Center offers year-round art exhibitions, concerts, educational programs, special events and classes.

Open Tuesday – Sunday, 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Closed holidays. The Muckenthaler Cultural Center, 1201 West Malvern Avenue, Fullerton, is located one block west of Euclid, two and a half miles north of the Riverside 91 Freeway. For further information, call the Center at 714-738-6595.

Gift Shop

Original art, jewelry, baby gifts, seasonal items, hand-blown glass and more!

Nestled in the Muckenthaler Cultural Center mansion just off the main gallery, is a unique Gift Shop named after the original owner, Adella Muckenthaler. The shop features many original works of art, one-of-a-kind gift items, and seasonal home decor items. During special exhibitions, Adella’s Gift Shop carries merchandise related to the theme or content of the show. All proceeds go to support arts programming.

The Shop is staffed by volunteers from the Muckenthaler Center Circle and is open Wednesday through Sunday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
