Renovations Begin at Historic Hillcrest Park

Renovations have begun at historic Hillcrest Park. The “Pine Forest Stairs” will be a new feature, a network of seven-foot wide timber stairs, connecting Lions Field to Hillcrest Park. It will attract health and fitness enthusiasts and offer visitors new viewing decks. Followed by restoring the 1920’s era Works Progress Administration (WPA) historic fountain and surrounding stonework, major improvements to the Great Lawn and the barranca, and the creation of an inviting grand entrance on Harbor Blvd.
